Purpose of the Request for Tenders

The Corporation of the Town of Greater Napanee (hereinafter referred to as “the Town”) is issuing this Request for Tenders (hereinafter referred to as “RFT”), for the supply and installation of acrylic surfacing, court and line painting on a Multi-Sport Court.  

The Municipal site is the North Fredericksburgh Sports Complex located at 1208 County Road 8, Napanee.  The multi-sport court measures approximately 120’ (36.6m) x 128’ (39m) with a footprint of approximately 15,360 Square feet.  All site preparation has been completed by Town staff under the guidance and supervision of the successful Bidder.  This is to ensure the base layer and asphalt surface is ready for the acrylic application and complies with the proposed design and industry standards. 

The design of the multi-sport court shall include at a minimum:

1. Two (2) full size tennis courts of standard dimensions;
2. Six (6) regulation size pickleball courts;
3. Install one coat acrylic surface over existing asphalt surface; and
4. Install two coats blue paint over playing area of courts; and
5. Install two coats green paint over outbound area of courts; and
6. Layout and paint tennis and pickleball lines

The successful company shall:

• Have experience in the design and maintenance of tennis courts;
• Have capacity to graphically render conceptual design ideas;
• Have the ability to provide detailed cost estimating;
• Be responsible for their own Health and Safety as well as their employees; and the general public while working under contract on behalf of the Town; and
• Keep a responsible person/foreman on site when undertaking the work.
