For the purpose of receiving submissions from a licensed Real Estate Broker (or Real Estate Sales Representative) in good standing in the Province of Ontario to provide Residential Real Estate Services to support the sale of lands owned by the Town deemed surplus by Council

The successful respondent will apply local sales experience and market awareness to support the disposal of land deemed surplus by Council. It is anticipated that the successful Respondent will provide consistency in the process of disposing of surplus municipal lands, as well as the acquisition of lands upon request from Council.

The Town cannot confirm the quantity or frequency of surplus lands to be listed for sale, and reserves the right to request any, all, or none of the properties to be listed for sale by the Respondent. This RFP relates specifically to lands declared surplus by Council, and identified by Council for disposal. The Town may endeavor to request advice from the successful Respondent on items covered through real estate transactions including, but not limited to, asking price, appraisal requirements, marketing activities, inspections, closing dates, and additional related activities. The Town reserves the right to accept a sale it deems to be in the best interest of the Town regardless of an assessed market value.

Proposals should be supported by information which demonstrates a Respondent’s qualifications to deliver the required real estate services outlined in this RFP, as well as information which highlights their understanding of local market conditions.
